The English company Zytek, which developed the KERS system for Mercedes in 2009, is flirting with the possibility of entering Formula One as an engine supplier. On their twitter, they revealed that they are focusing on hybrid systems under Formula One rules for the 2014 season, and more than that, they didn’t want to disclose. “We may develop our own propulsion unit. We definitely have all the necessary elements, as well as knowledge and skills, and on top of all that, a big change in the rules also gives new producers a chance. It is a large-scale task that requires a lot of money if we want to change the basic concept into a competitive one, ”they wrote.
