Toto Wolff, head of Mercedes, says the aggressiveness shown by Nico Rosberg at the Bahrain Grand Prix will serve as a renaissance despite the disappointment after the end of his race.

Under pressure from a series of defeats against team-mate and title contender Lewis Hamilton, Rosberg showed a good performance in Sakhir. He lost third place at the start against Kimi Raikkonen, but regained his place and later overtook another Ferrari Sebastian Vettl for second place. Rosberg was twice overtaken by Vettl during the stops in the pits, but after returning to the track he quickly returned in front of him by overtaking on the track. He finally lost second place in the penultimate lap when he encountered a fault in the braking system that allowed Raikkonen to overtake.

“Anyone who doubted Rosberg saw him this time in a fierce, overtaking fight. It's a pity that the brake failure was decisive in the end, ”praised the German Wolff, who is convinced that despite being twenty-seven points behind Hamilton, he is still very close in the fight for the title, given that there are still fifteen races to go. “I should be in the best starting position and from there control the race, as Hamilton does. Nevertheless, our goal is to get the maximum number of points from each race. ”
