The Williams team is expected to revive the legendary white, red and blue painting this year after Martini is set to become the team’s main sponsor. The deal was quietly discussed at the end of last season, and the contract was signed recently, after the company that produces the drinks could not afford to sponsor the Ferrari or McLaren teams, with which they are also in talks.
The Williams team is expected to change its name to Williams Martini Racing just before the first race of the season, and the cars will be painted in colors that are very recognizable in other categories of racing.
Martini is a subsidiary of Bacardi & Company, which is the largest private producer of alcoholic beverages.
