Will Arrivabene transfer to Sauber?

German media report that the fired Ferrari boss Maurizio Arrivabene is said to be following his former racer Kimi Raikkonen to the Swiss Sauber team, which is becoming increasingly closely linked to the Maranello team.

Arrivabene's close ties with the owners of Ferrari suggest that the Italian would take a role in the Sauber team, which would then slowly become the factory team of Alfa Romeo. Raikkonen did not want to comment on the rumors about Arrivabene before the new season, nor was he overly eloquent about the team’s chances this season.

“We’ll see when the car is on the track, and then we’ll plan how to move forward,” he said. But I think we have every chance to achieve a lot, and no one knows where that will take us. ” The Finn was relieved after leaving Ferrari, as he has never been a supporter of racing politics, which is much more in a big team like Ferrari than at Sauber. “The team is much smaller, but I’m looking forward to the new season,” he said. "Everything will be quite different, but the goal is still the same - to be good at racing. I think there will be a lot more emphasis here on racing and less on other things. I hope that the cooperation will turn out to be positive for both sides. But I have a good feeling and I'm looking forward to the new job. "
