Who is behind the portal svet-hitrosti.com?

Since we've been together for almost 10 years, it's about time I officially introduce myself to you. So that you will know who is hiding behind the amateur portal svet-hitrosti.com

I am Blaž Štremfelj. Ever since I can remember, I have been a big fan of auto-moto sports. I still vividly remember watching every Formula 1 race my father watched with interest on the sofa. This is probably where my love for racing comes from. That being said, I have been following F1 for 30 years.

But so that everything was not just on the level of a spectator, I went to autocross and rally with my father. My father was a judge at several races, and I myself took on the task of steward in elementary school, which I thought was phenomenal as an 11-year-old boy, because I could watch the races up close.

So I regularly followed the Slovenian speed scene, as well as Formula 1, which is still my favorite. To compete as a racer, unfortunately for once, I didn't have the opportunity, but I took many friendly races with go-karts.

I later transferred my interest in such sports to journalism. As a student, I wrote articles about Formula 1 and MotoGP for the weekly magazine Automanija, the daily newspaper Ekipa and the F1 magazine website. Because of this, I also started regularly watching motorcycle races, which of course quickly took me over.

Since later our paths diverged, but the love for writing and watching races remained, at the end of 2013, without education or any knowledge, I set up the portal svet-hitrosti.com as a self-taught person. Since everything is just my joy and my biggest hobby, progress has been very slow. With a full-time job and a half-year-old baby, I couldn't devote all my time to my hobby, so the website and writing were always somewhat on the sidelines, or rather my little night project.

Although over the years the question has often arisen as to why I do this at all, because the portal has never brought me finances, I can't answer that. But at least this way I find time to do something I really love. I follow the race, follow the racers, search and read news from foreign sources and summarize and share them for you in Slovenian.

As much as I can, I try to keep the news interesting and up-to-date. I don't know if you feel it or not, but I strive for the news to be unbiased, because my opinion does not matter in any way when giving the news, and my desire is to show you that. I hope that as many of you as possible share this opinion and feel this part of my work.

Since I couldn't possibly cover everything by myself, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has ever helped me with writing or editing some other little thing on the page. Over the years, quite a few have accumulated. All of them were ready to participate, just like me, exclusively on an amateur and voluntary basis.
I would like to remember my friend Simon Omahn, who was by my side from the beginning until his much untimely death.

In addition, I would especially like to thank Tomaž Strgaršek, who, despite the fact that he writes exclusively on a voluntary basis, has been by my side for many years and covers everything that I fail to do and ensures that you, the readers, are not left without fresh news. I can easily call him my right hand because I know I can rely on him.

I would also like to thank my wife Niki, who has stood by me all these years. When I was alone at work, she wrote and published some news and cheered me on when I felt that everything was irrelevant and that I was wasting time writing, while I could be carelessly lying on the sofa or doing something else... but I didn't .

To a large extent, I would like to thank all of you who follow us, read, like, comment and share our posts, because the only reward for us is that you follow us and are active.

I promise that we will try even harder in the future, offer you as many fresh announcements and news as possible, and I hope that you will be happy to follow us in the future.
