Mark Webber dictated the pace of the third free practice at Suzuki. The Red Bull racer recorded a time of 1: 32.053, beating Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton by 0.134 seconds. Webber's teammate was only the ninth fastest, but it should be noted that the German was seduced by KERS on his car, so he had to say goodbye to training early, without even performing with a softer version of the tires.
Conditions on the track have greatly improved compared to Friday, however, quite a few racers drove off the track. The most dramatic moment was experienced by Adrian Sutil, who lost control of the race car at the entrance to the Spoon bend and crashed into the protective tires.
