Kimi Raikkonen said that he is satisfied with the second place at the Hungarian Grand Prix, although he is convinced that they could have achieved an even better result if they had no problems in qualifying. The Finn started the race from sixth place, then skillfully took advantage of his race car and saved on tires, so he only had to go to the pits twice. With this, he managed to overtake the competitors, who made three stops during the race.

But due to the stop less, he was attacked by Sebastian Vettel in the last laps of vehicles on completely worn tires from the background. The German tried to pass the Finn in the Lotus in the fourth turn, but the Red Bull racer did not succeed.

“I keep making my job harder on Saturdays and today we paid the price for it again. Towards the end it was very close with Seb, but it still ended well and we won important points for the championship. I knew it was going to go tight, but in fact I never doubted I could keep it behind me as I was very fast in the last sector. As a team, we performed well today and everything turned out quite well for us, ”said Raikkonen after the race, who took second place in the overall standings, taking second place ahead of Fernando Alonso. He is 38 points behind the leading Vettl.
