Max Verstappen was fastest in the first F1 free practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix, with teammate Sergio Perez coming closest to his time. The third time was set by Esteban Ocon (Alpine), and the fourth by Nyck de Vries (Alpha Tauri).
Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz took eighth and ninth place, while Mercedes drivers were tenth (George Russell) and twelfth (Lewis Hamilton).
