The organizers of the race for the German Grand Prix pointed the finger at Sebastian Vettl again for a poor attendance at the event. But this time, of course, not because of his dominance, but because of his criticism of Formula One.

The last three races before Germany, ie Canada, Austria and Great Britain, were completely sold out, but the German race was watched by only 52.000 spectators, which is 30 percent less than in 2012, claims the racecourse consultant, Katja Heim, who is convinced that viewers were distracted from viewing by the fact that Vettel strongly criticized the sound of the new engines.

“Sebastian’s critical comments about Formula One and his race car in many interviews have in no way helped to increase interest in the show. People trust the four-time world champion more than the sellers, so it certainly hurt us when he said that the spectators have nothing to see in this modern formula and that the races are no longer as interesting as they used to be, ”said Heim. jokingly added, however, that it was not only Sebastian who was to blame, but also that their national team had played successfully at the World Cup. "If Germany were eliminated in the first lap, more people would watch our race, I'm sure."
