Jacques Villeneuve, the 1997 Formula One champion, is thrilled after today’s Formula E test in Donington Park. Namely, as he says, he is angry that most series, such as F1, are being slowed down, but here the development goes on: I’m here now and I have to say I’m excited. We are working to get faster. No one limits us and that is the most important thing for me as a racer.

We are not here to circle the track, but to race and get faster. Just ten days ago, I was commenting on the Hungarian Grand Prix when I got a call if I would come to test. I changed my plans and now I’m here. I used to watch the series, but now I will perform in it. ”

Villeneuve has raced in many series so far, F1, IndyCar and NASCAR, as well as in rallycross and so on. Regarding Formula E, he says that these are very interesting racing cars: “Racing cars have a lot of energy, they are interesting and real racing cars. At the same time, they are also very complex, because there is no horsepower to pull the car out of the corner, so you have to have the highest possible speed in the corners and this is a very complex thing to do. ”

Either way, Villeneuve will be racing for Venturi, where his winning goal and title are: “I’ve been trying this for the last 10 years. Everything is subject to victories and successes. I have succeeded in the past and I want to do so in the future. ”
