The cameraman, who was hit by a tire from Mark Webber's race car in the pits of the German Grand Prix, was immediately taken to hospital, where he will remain under observation.
After Mark Webber's broken stop, the rear right wheel flew off his car shortly after leaving the tire changer, then missed Lotus mechanics by a hair and then crashed into cameraman Paul Allen on the left side of his body. "Immediately after the incident, he was examined at a medical center on the racetrack, and then transported by helicopter to a hospital in Koblenz," the FIA said in a press release. The Red Bull team was fined € 30.000 for dangerously dropping out of the pits, and Allen suffered a broken collarbone, broken ribs and concussion in the accident.
