In the exciting last part of the qualifiers, spiced up by the rain, Sebastian Vettl managed to drive a lap almost a second faster than everyone with Red Bull. Second was Felipe Massa, who beat team-mate Fernando Alonso, fourth was Lewis Hamilton with a Mercedes, and fifth was Mark Webber in the second Red Bull.
