With today’s win, Sebastian Vettel has racked up 42 wins in his career and 3 wins this season. Thus, on the scale of all victories, he overtook the legendary Ayrton Senna and lags only behind Michael Schumacher, who has 91 victories, and Alain Prost, who has 51 victories.
And the Ferrari team? They recorded their 224 win and 225 win for the Ferrari engine. Sebastian Vettel gave them one victory at Toro Rosso in 2008.
For the first time since 2013 in Spain, two Ferrari drivers stood on the podium, recording 690 and 691 podiums, respectively. Ferrari has won twice in Singapore so far.
Vettel celebrated his fourth victory in Singapore in the night race and scored a total of 120 points, which is the most of all the races where he raced, and at the same time consolidated his status as the most successful racer on this race. He recorded his worst ranking in 2008 when he was fifth with Toro Rosso. In the last five races, with three wins and twice second place, he has always stood on the podium.
The Red Bull team has beaten the statistical limit of 3000 team points and is thus the fourth team after Ferrari, McLaren and Willams to do so. Hamilton, however, resigned for the first time since last year’s race in Belgium.
