Mark Webber was very critical of his Red Bull teammate, Sebastian Vettl, after the race for the Malaysian Grand Prix. The current world champion is said to have arbitrarily ignored the agreed plan for the race and thus secured the victory.

Webber led most of the 56 laps of the long race in Kuala Lumpur, and was pushed to second place in the final laps of the race by Vettel. The Australian claims that this happened after he was informed by the team that the powertrains in the red bull race cars are limited. “After the last match, the team informed me that the race was over. We limited the engine so that we could cruise to our destination without excessive fuel consumption and unnecessary material wear. I also wanted to race, but the team decided that we were in the phase of the race, for which we still agree before the start to just watch the tires and safely drive the car to the finish line.

In the end, Seb arbitrarily decided otherwise and the team will defend him as always, that's the way it is. I limited my engine and started cruising on the last set of bikes, and then the battle began. I am disappointed with the result of today's race, ”said a visibly disappointed Webber, to whom Vettel has already apologized.

After today's second place with 26 points, Webber is in third place in the overall standings of the championship, 14 points behind the leading Vettl.
