Sebastian Vettel pointed out in a recent interview that this season could be his last in Formula 1. It will all depend on the course of this one.

Behind the Aston Martin team is a very challenging start to the season, after being in tenth place after three races, the only one left without a point.

The German joined the team before the start of last season and achieved second place in Baku as the best result. After a difficult start when Vettel missed the first two races due to a Covid infection, speculation has already surfaced whether this could be his last in Formula One.

Ahead of the Imola racing weekend, the four-time world champion said of his future:

“It’s no secret that the decision is related to how the season will unfold. My contract expires at the end of the year. ”

Despite a challenging start to the season, Vettel has yet to throw a rifle into the corn.

"The beginning is not what we would like in the team, but we must not give up. There are only three races behind us. It is difficult to get the maximum out of the car, but other teams also have underwater problems. ”

“In the coming weeks and months, we still have a lot of work to do to find the right direction of development. Then we will also get a true picture of where we are. The atmosphere and motivation of the team's employees is very high. ”
