Four-time Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel has added his whistleblower to the dispute between Valentino Rossi and Marco Marquez. The German said that Rossi did the right thing when he pushed Marquez to the edge of the track, where he apparently kicked the Spaniard and thus caused the opponent to fall.

The commissioners punished Rossi, which means that he will be in the last starting position in the last race of the season in Valencia, where the title will be decided. The Ferrari racer believes this year’s title for Rossi is far from lost. “I think he still has a chance to become a champion and that he’s a real fighter,” the former Red Bull racer said. “It’s in his nature, even though after the race it felt like he had given up. He will fight and give his best and I think he did the right thing in Malaysia. I know Jorge very well and Marca a little less. They are both good guys, but Valentino did the right thing, ”said Vettel, who has also often been criticized in his career for allegedly unsportsmanlike moves.

Vettl's teammate, Kimi Raikkonen, did not want to comment on Rossi's conduct: "I read a few things about the incident and it's all kind of weird," said the Finn. “Rules have been written in this regard, but you can interpret the rules in different ways.

I hope Rossi can fight for the title. That would be good for the sport and would greatly spice up the race. He drove very well this year. Undoubtedly, the fight will be very tense, "added the 2007 champion.
