George Russell took a risk in the last attempt with dry track tires, but his lap ended in the second corner. The Briton will start the race from eighth place, while Daniel Ricciardo and Zhou Guanyu also finished in the top ten.
Charles Leclerc will start the race from penultimate place after using additional engine control electronics on Friday and receiving a penalty of losing 10 seats, then a new powertrain was installed in his race car, causing him to lose ten more seats. Monačan drove only one lap in the qualifiers, gaining one place according to the rules compared to Juki Tsunodo, who also lost his starting places due to a change of engine.
