Verstappen is only 0.011 seconds ahead of Piastri in qualifying for the sprint race

Max Verstappen will start today's sprint race in Belgium from the best starting position, after he managed to beat McLaren driver Oscar Piastri's fastest lap by just 0.011 seconds at the last moment. The newcomer will thus start the race right next to the current world champion, and from the second row of the starting row, the Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz will start the 100 kilometer race ahead of Charles Leclerc.

Fifth was Lando Norris in the second McLaren car, sixth was Pierre Gasly ahead of Lewis Hamilton, Sergio Perez, Esteban Ocon and George Russell.

Today's sprint race is scheduled for 16:30.
