Max Verstappen had to settle for second place in his Red Bull Racing team's home race in Sunday's race, where he could not find an answer to the fast pace of the Ferrari racers.
The Dutchman easily won the sprint race on Friday, but the RB18's form disappeared by Sunday due to excessive tire wear. "In Austria, we did not send the best racing car to the track, which had problems with tires," he explained, adding that he does not expect any problems in France, where high tire wear is expected.
"We understood a little better what happened in Spielberg, so I expect that we will be more competitive this time."
