Jean-Eric Vergne, who has been racing for Toro Rosso since 2012, announced on Twitter that he is leaving the team.
“Despite a good season and twenty-two points, I will no longer be racing for Toro Rosso in the 2015 season. Thank you for all these years. Let's move towards a new challenge, "he wrote in his post.
Vergne has driven fifty-eight races in three seasons after winning a permanent seat at Toro Rosso in 2012. He achieved the highest ranking in the racing classification this year when he finished in thirteenth place.
Carlos Sainz Jr., who was testing for Red Bull in Abu Dhabi these days, is often mentioned to replace him. Some time ago, when Daniil Kvyat joined the Red Bulls, the team has already confirmed Max Verstappen as one of the racers for next season.
