Sergio Perez will start the Miami Grand Prix from the best starting position after qualifying was cut short due to Charles Leclerc's crash. The Ferrari driver made a mistake on the final fast lap and crashed into the spare tires, causing the final part of qualifying to be red-flagged and not resumed. The man from Monaco was not injured, but he will start the race from seventh place.

Fernando Alonso got into the first starting row, and Kevin Magnussen was an excellent fourth, who will have to be heard by the commissioner after qualifying due to the incident with Lewis Hamilton in Q1. The Dane is not completely safe in fourth place, as a penalty could follow.

The third time belonged to Carlos Sainz, the fifth was Pierre Gasly, the sixth was George Russell, and the current world champion Max Verstappen had a lot of bad luck, who interrupted the first fast lap due to a mistake, and was unable to complete the second due to Leclerc's accident. The Dutchman will start the race only from the ninth place, while the Finn, Vallteri Bottas, won the tenth place.
