Da Costa, who celebrated at the Renault 3.5 Formula One race last weekend in Monza, will take the place of reserve Red Bull racer next weekend. A member of the Red Bull junior team will jump in instead of Sebastien Buemi, as he will be the only one to race for Toyota in the World Endurance Championship in Silverstone.
Let us mention that Buemi has been performing this function since the end of 2011, when he lost his racing place to the Toro Rosso team. Nevertheless, as said, this year opened the possibility of racing for Toyota, where the WEC championship in Silverstone only coincides with Formula One. On the other hand, that Costa replaced Lewis Williamson last year. The 21-year-old won the GP3 series title last year and also won four of the last five races of the FR3.5 series, not to mention the prestigious victory in Macau in Formula 3. Felix did not start this year's FR3.5 season the best, but despite all currently occupying a joint third place behind Stoffel Vandoorn and Kevin Magnussen.
