The official Formula 1 tire fitter has announced the versions of tires that the teams will use in the first four races of the 2015 season.
In the inaugural race in Australia, as last year, yellow (soft) and white-rimmed (medium) tires will be fitted to the cars. Pirelli will bring the same combination to Bahrain and China. In Malaysia, the teams will also get a medium version, in addition to the orange i.e. hard version.
The decision was made based on the surface of each racetrack and the associated tire wear, and temperatures were also taken into account.
Tire versions for the first four races of the 2015 season:
Australian Grand Prix - soft, medium
Malaysia Grand Prix - hard, medium
China Grand Prix - soft, medium
Bahrain Grand Prix - soft, medium
