Tim Gajser announced that his recovery from the accident in which he broke his femur is going well, but he will still have to miss the performance at the Grand Prix of Trentino, where he feels at home due to the abundance of Slovenian fans.
The fourth race of the Motocross World Championship will take place on Sunday in Italy, where Jan Pancar will represent Slovenian colors in the MX2 class at the Trentino Grand Prix, while Jaka Peklaj, Žan Oven and Miha Vrh will compete in the European Championship race.
Tim Gajser, world champion in the elite MXGP class, is still recovering from femur surgery following the accident he suffered on February 20 in Arco near Lake Garda. Gajser revealed some details about his health to his followers on Instagram.
"I am very disappointed to miss the Trentino Grand Prix. I will miss the fans and racing," wrote the 26-year-old Gajser. “My recovery is still progressing well. Strength is returning to the leg and the doctor says the progress is impressive. I'll try to get back on the bike soon. Then I will know better when I can start racing again," he added.
