Red Bull Racing owner Dietrich Mateschitz has revealed that Sebastian Vettel can leave the team if he so desires. The German has been linked with a move to Ferrari in recent months, with some even claiming he already has a pre-contract for the 2014 season, which Vettel has already denied. Mateschitz, however, says he will not keep the three-time world champion in his ranks if he wants to move to another team.
“If Sebastian didn’t want to race for us anymore, it wouldn’t make sense to keep him here until the end of the contract,” Mateschitz said. “If I were a Formula One racer, I would definitely want to race for Ferrari someday. But so far we have no problem with that, ”he added.
