The unofficial calendar of races of the MotoGP 2022 season has been completed, and there are as many as 21 trials on it, which means that the longest season in history awaits us.

The global Covid-19 virus pandemic has led to extensive changes to the 2020 and 2021 racing calendars. will take place in new venues.

The season will start on March 6 in Qatar and then the caravan will move to Indonesia where the second race of the season will take place on March 20th. This will be a special treat, as it is the first street race in the country that last hosted MotoGP in 1997. The race in Argentina is also returning to the calendar on April 3, and immediately next weekend the racers will compete at the Grand Prix of America in Austin , which will be a huge logistical bite for the entire MotoGP caravan.

MotoGP will return to Europe on April 24, when the Portuguese Grand Prix will take place at the Algarve racetrack, followed by trials in Jerez, Le Mans, Mugello, Barcelona, ​​Sachsenring and Assn.

The first half of the season will end with a new venue, which has lost its place on the calendar three times so far. The Finnish Grand Prix will take place on July 10 at the KymiRing racetrack, and for the Finns it will be the first MotoGP race since 1982.

The second half of the season begins with the race in Silverstone, which will take place on August 7 for a change, and the Austrian Grand Prix has been given a new date, namely August 21. This is followed by the September races in Misano and Aragon, which will be joined by the absent GP of Japan from 2019, which will be followed by the GP of Thailand next weekend.

The “Pacific” trio of races have said goodbye to the race calendar, as after the race in Thailand the riders will have a free weekend before the race for the Australian Grand Prix on October 16, and the test on Phillip Island on October 23 will be followed by the Malaysian Grand Prix. in Valencia.

Already last month, MotoGP confirmed the pre-season testing schedule. These will take place over five days, between 5 and 13 February, at venues in Malaysia and Indonesia.
