The winter break will soon be over, and the MotoGP caravan will begin testing in the first week of February. Moto 2 and Moto3 start work a couple of days later. The drivers of the royal class will pass four tests, during which the factory teams will test only tires in one test. The Moto 2 and Moto 3, however, will undergo three tests before the start of the season.

The first testing will begin on February 4 in Malaysia at the Sepang racetrack, where teams and racers will have three days to get their first tests ahead of the new season. Other tests will take place at the same racetrack in Sepang from 26 to 28 February, where teams will have the opportunity to improve their motorcycles. The third test, which will take place from March 3 to 5 in Australia, at the Phillip Island racetrack, will feature three factory teams, namely the Repsol Honda Team, the Yamaha Factory Team and the Ducati Team, where the three-day testing will be for tires only.

However, as the last tests will take place in Qatar in the same week from March 7 to 9, factory racers Marc Marqez, Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo, Valentino Rossi, Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow will be absent.

Moto2 and Moto3 will start testing in Spain at the racetrack in Valencia from 11 to 13 February, and the next testing will take place from 18 to 20 February in Spain, at the racetrack in Jerez. The last pre-season testing will take place from March 11 to 13 also at the Jerez racetrack.
