After the race, the Marinelli Snipers Team, represented by Romano Fenati, commented on the action of their racer, who grabbed Stefan Manzi's brake lever on a plane in a Moto 2 race, earning him a two-race ban. The statement said:

"It simply came to our notice then. The team distances itself from the action of its racer and apologizes to the whole sport for a bad example, patrons for a tarnished reputation, fans for disappointment. For those of you wondering what we’re going to do. We first had to accept the two-race ban of our racer. We thank the race directors for their professional handling of this event.

We also thank the Forward Racing Team for their cooperation. Ironically, the Forward Racing Team will be Roman Fenati's team next season and we want to end this matter as soon as possible. The racer is aware of his mistake and wants to gain the respect of others back after serving his sentence.

A day later, the team announced that Fenati had been fired from the team, “due to unsportsmanlike and dangerous behavior that damages the reputation of the team and this sport. There is no excuse for the irresponsible act of endangering the life of another racer, ”they added and apologized to the spectators on behalf of the sponsors.

However, Manzi also received a penalty, namely a penalty of six starting places in the next race for colliding with Fenati shortly before.
