Jenson Button was much more optimistic after Friday’s free practice than he was a week ago in Australia. The Briton explained that the car in Sepang is behaving better.

The 2009 champions finished both training sessions out of the top ten, so he admitted that although McLarn’s form in Malaysia is slightly better, the best teams for them are likely to stay out of reach. “Today we have done a satisfactory amount of work. They gathered a lot of information about our MP4-28 car. On the dry track, it feels better than in Melbourne, but we’re still not as fast as the best racers. We’ve found a few more things we can improve on by tomorrow, which is encouraging, ”Button said.
