The organizers of the MotoGP race in India expect a new speed record to be broken at the end of the month. It is currently owned by the racetrack in Mugello, where Brad Binder reached a speed of 366,1 km/h at the end of the start-finish straight in June of this year.
The back straight at the Buddh International Circuit is 1006 meters long, which could allow the world's best racers to approach the 370 km/h mark. In addition, the section before the straight is laid out in such a way that it will allow the racers to maintain a high speed even before entering the straight.
"We think the circuit has tremendous potential to put a new top speed transmission in place," Carlos Ezpeleta said recently.
In recent times, there have been many updates to the safety equipment at the racetrack. New fenders have been added so it is now ready for the best racers on two wheels.
