Lotus lacks vacuum

Kimi Raikkonen finished second in the qualifiers before the Chinese Grand Prix. Only Lewis Hamilton with a Mercedes was better than him, but the lotus racer is a bit skeptical about the shape of his car. “I knew that we were still far behind the best. Second place isn’t bad, but that’s the most we could achieve today. Sure, I’d rather be in first place, but we weren’t fast enough. We lack pressure in the middle sector, ”said Raikkonen. “We brought a minor fix to the car here, so this one isn’t much different from the one I raced with in Malaysia. It seems to work well here. We have some problems, similar to Malaysia. ”

The Finn says Lotus has made more progress due to different settings than new parts on the E21 race car. “The race car behaves the way I want. It was much harder to set it up properly. It is very sensitive to settings, but we are satisfied so far. Tires will be a big question mark tomorrow. Some decided to start the race on a harder mix, and we chose the tactic we thought was best. We hope to have wear and tear under control, as we have so far, ”added Raikkonen, who finished second in the qualifiers since the Lotus race.
