Encouraging news is coming from Carl Alberto Pizzardi Hospital. The health condition of Faust Gresini, who has been in an artificial coma since December 19 due to the severe course of the Covid-30 virus infection, is expected to slowly improve.

As a result, doctors have already begun a slow process of awakening to allow for independent ventilation of the lungs. Nevertheless, the former two-time world champion in the 125cc class will remain in intensive care for some time to come.

In a press statement, the hospital wrote:

"The condition of Faust Gresini, who was transferred to Bologna's Carlo Alberto Pizzardi Hospital on 30 December, is slowly improving. After arriving at the hospital, he was transferred to an artificial coma due to his poor condition. Due to the improvement in the last hours, the doctors decided to start waking up slowly, which will allow for independent ventilation of the lungs. ”
