The Milenium Stadium in Donji Kraljevec near Goričan, Croatia, was the venue for the fourth and final race of this year's joint national championship of Slovenia and Croatia for individuals in speedway. The race was won by the local Jurica Pavlic in front of Matej Žagar and the Austrian guest Fritz Wallner. Maks Gregorič, Žagar's club colleague from AMTK Ljubljana, was left without a podium in the final run.

Despite the full amount of points in the regular part of the race, Žagar eventually lost to the local Pavlic, but this did not jeopardize the winning of his fourteenth consecutive title of the best speedway driver on the sunny side of the Alps. Practically no one doubted this, as he is currently the fourth driver in the world to have a nice advantage over his Slovenian pursuers after three races and only an injury or a complete technical failure could prevent him from becoming the fourteenth Slovenian star in his career.

“I chose position C for the finals, I don’t know why. I was obviously once again the 'Matej Žagar' who didn't think as he should, at the start I of course found that the position was too hard and Pavlic rushed forward, "commented Matej on his final performance and added:" Of course I Nevertheless, I could look forward to my 14th title and once again be aware that I am no longer a very young racer at the age of 32, but despite this and, of course, the fact that I am competing with completely different racers at the World Championships, heart also to the level of racing, I am still looking forward to being the best at home, in Slovenia. The title of Slovenian runner-up went to Aleksandar Čonda from Speedway Team Lendava, and Maks Gregorič, who was four points better than Krčan Denis Štojs this time, was able to look forward to the joint third place and thus pushed him off the podium for the joint DP. Among the juniors, Žiga Kovačič from KST Brežice was again the best this year. Unfortunately, Ljubljana up Nick Škorja was missing from this race due to his participation in the semi-final junior race.

With the place of runner-up, Čonda almost certainly got a ticket for the domestic race of the Speedway Grand Prix series, as he is expected to receive a special invitation and re-race against the best fifteen in the world for the Slovenian Grand Prix on September 12 in Krško. .
