The race for the British Grand Prix was certainly marked by this bizarre and, according to many, undeserved victory of Michael Schumacher. Two laps before the end of the race, the German received a penalty of a 10-second stop in the pits for overtaking Alex Wurz during a safety car in the 43rd lap, and he drove to serve it at the end of the last lap of the race. Since Ferrari’s garage and thus Schumacher’s stopping place was located behind the finish line, it was held that he won the race as he drove the finish line while driving to the penalty stop. Yesterday, a "nationalwide" NASCAR race took place on the 2,4 km long Kentucky speedway. Drivers should cover 200 laps. 480km, but due to heavy rain in the 170th lap they stopped the race. The last 24 laps have been led by 29-year-old Brad Keselowski, who has competed in 6 NASCAR races in the last 141 years. Behind the wheel of his 685-horsepower V8 Ford Mustang, he thus achieved his second win of the season. and his second win at this racetrack in three years. He celebrated yesterday’s victory with a traditional “burn out” even though the track was heavily soaked. Elliott Sadler landed in 2nd place and Matt Crafton in 3rd.
