VIDEO: Stewart runs over 17-year-old racer to death
Kevin Ward thrashing and Tony Stewart got involved in a racing incident a lap before the accident, in which Ward got stuck in a protective fence with a flat tire. Security guards hung yellow flags, Ward got out of his race car and gestured angrily across the track toward the Stewart race car that was driving around at the time. Stewart hit Ward with a race car and dragged him a few tens of meters behind him, where he lay dead.
