So far, only 18 Slovenians are on Lavanttal

Rally
The Lavanttal Rally will also mark the beginning of the Slovenian National Rally Championship this year. Both we and the spectators are saddened by the fact that only 18 Slovenian crews have registered for it so far, compared to 28. Last year, despite the reduced number of participants in the first of seven rallies this season, we expect this number to increase if not before, at five domestic events. Also this year, the big favorite of the season is Aleks Humar with a Renault Clio R3, who pulled his car well after the winter sleep at the Rebenland rally, which was considered the Mitropa Cup. There was also Asja Zupanc with a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX, who will be the only Slovenian participant in the all-wheel drive car at the Lavanttal Rally. Points for the Slovenian championship will be in two weeks in Av

In Idrija, after the first day, Humar leads

Rally
Aleks Humar and co-driver Florijan Rus were the fastest on the first day of the Idrija rally. With the Clio R3, they overtook Rok Turk and Ene Ložnar in less than four seconds in a Peugeot 208 R2, while Darko Peljhan and Tina Lazar with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X took third place. Asja Zupanc and Blanka Kacin are one tenth behind. The sixth crew is Aljoša Novak - Matej Čar, who was faster than Rajko Žakelj and Jake Cevec. Racers will have a busy day tomorrow, as there are slightly more difficult speed trials on the schedule.

Žakelj in Italy to the first victory

Rally
After a dramatic series of resignations of the favorites, Rajko Žakelj managed to achieve his first victory for the Slovenian national championship. He and his co-driver Jako Cevec overtook the Zupanc-Kacin crew in the same car (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX) by 39.6 seconds, and the third was the Novak-Ovcirk connection in a Škoda Fabia R2 with almost three minutes to go. Rally Alpi Orientali took care of the incredible outcome, as the leader Aleks Humar broke the tire, while also damaging the refrigerator and had to resign despite a very favorable lead. After the seventh HP, Rok Turk took the lead, but after the victory, hopes were dashed when the bike was torn off. Darko Peljhan, who successfully held third place in the overall standings until the fifth HP, was also stopped by the technique. He was hit by a differential on his Mitsubishi.

Sprint rally Nova Gorica this year with an even stronger team

Rally
After last year's baptismal performance of the sprint rally Nova Gorica on the Banjska plateau and its great success at home and abroad, the organizers are determined to improve the competition this year, which will otherwise remain in the same format. The rally will be the same length and HP will not be changed, nor will the service area, but they are determined to hone those little things that they noticed themselves, and the others may have overlooked. The rally will have its second performance on Saturday, September 21, 2013. The short-format rally, which is very popular especially with our western neighbors, is becoming more and more appreciated in Slovenia as well. Mainly because it allows the entire program to be carried out in one day, which is an advantage for the vast majority of crews in both financial and logistical terms. The route on the Banjška plateau is varied and te

After an exciting first day of Saturn, Gassner leads

Rally
Hermann Gassner is the leader at the Saturnus Rally, the first day of which was spiced up by harsh weather conditions that provided some unexpected results, which were partly boiled down by tires prescribed by the FIA for four-wheel drive cars. The first part of Saturnus took place on a completely wet and also muddy route. The first surprise with the Renault Clio R3 in the morning was provided by Aleks Humar, who swung to the very top. Rok Turk also surprised with a Peugeot 208 R2. The reason for the surprise, however, is probably to be found in the fact that two-wheel-drive race cars can compete on classic tires, giving them an advantage over four-wheel-drive ones. The tires prescribed for them by the FIA simply do not offer the right grip, which was experienced in Janče by Darko Peljhan, who spun there and lost time.
