Rain and challenging macadam conditions spiced up Sunday's Ronda Terra del Friuli rally. In the Peugeot 208 R2, Rok Turk and Martina Lazar coped with a lot of water and mud, and they did well in the difficult conditions and took home the trophy for the victory in the R2B class. The whole team was of course happy about the first place in the race in Italy: "It was definitely one of the more difficult races, especially for the racing cars, because there were a lot of holes on the macadam surface during the day, which could not be avoided when driving on an ideal line. With the start of the snow Maribor rally in mid-April and the end of October at the rally in Idrija, the season of the national championship brought a lot of success to the OPV Šport association. With as many as four victories in six races, Martin Mlinar and Miran Mlinar won the title of national champions in Division 105 with the MG ZR 1 race car, and with good rankings of other crews, OPV Šport won the title of champions in rally between clubs. Competing in races from Northern Ireland to Bulgaria was definitely a big challenge that Rok tackled together with Peugeot Slovenia and the OPV team. They also successfully managed to carry out the project of the premiere performance of the Slovenian crew with a R5 class car, with which Rok and his co-driver Blanka Kacin won their first appearance at the Saturnus Rally Velenje. The season of the Slovenian national championship ended last weekend with a rally in Idrija. Changing autumn weather conditions and fast speed trials heralded a demanding and interesting rally. Rok Turk and Martina Lazar started decisively, with the fastest times in the opening two speed trials on Friday night. Saturday's part of the rally tipped the scales in favor of the competition. Rok and Martina squeezed all the power out of their Peugeot 208 R2, driving at the limit, but the rivals were faster. On the fifth speed test, they even collided with a roadside edge in one of the turns and damaged the car. The OPV team managed to repair the damage at the next service stop and Rok and Martina were able to continue successfully.
