Freins winner of the first race

GP2

The racer of the newly formed Hilmer Motorsport team, Robin Frijns, is the winner of the first race of the GP2 series at the Circuit de Catalunya. The race was marked by many accidents, including the spectacular "flight" of Nathanael Berthon. Felipe Nasr, the Carlin racer, was second, and Jolyon Palmer stepped on the last step. Freins started the race in eighth place, but he performed a great tactic of changing tires, replacing the soft ones with the hard ones in the sixth lap. The racers in front of him opted for a longer first part on a harder mix, but there was real chaos on the track with various tactics. The first race of the circuit speed championship is over

This weekend, April 26-28, 2013, the Slovenian National Circuit Speed Championship and the LEMA GP Cup started at the popular Slovakiaring racetrack. For the first time, our national championship was held the same weekend together with the World Touring Car Championship - WTCC, for which we should also praise the umbrella association AŠ 2005 and Drago Božič. Most of the fights were, of course, in the LEMA GP Cup, where youngsters and newcomers surprisingly reigned supreme. Already in Saturday's race, Metod Počkaj took the first place, moving from a more powerful Volkswagen Beetle to a small, but agile and interesting fiat grande punto car. Scheider's first pole this year

Timo Scheider will start the first race of this year's season of the German DTM Touring Car Championship with the best starting position. The two-time champion was the second fastest in the third part of the qualifications in Hockenheim, so in the fourth part he drove his fast lap as the third. With the Audi RS5 of the Abt Sportsline team, he set a time of 1: 35.918, with which he managed to oust August Farfus from the top of the time series, and only Christian Vietoris had to drive the fast lap. He lost some time in the first part of the round, so he placed third. Scheider thus secured the eleventh best starting position in his career, beating Farfus in the RBM BMW by just 0.116 seconds. 51 racers on a reliquary in Logatec

This weekend, the second parallel reliquary race for the Slovenian national championship is taking place at the Blagomix racetrack in Logatec. Fifty-one racers are on the list of applicants, and today they will have free practice before tomorrow's qualifications and the race. After the race in Vransko, Gorazd Prosenc leads in division one, Leon Vodopivec in division two and Tomaž Vodišek in division III. Nik Kimovec is at the top in the youth championship for drivers under 21. In the Grande Punto Cup, Domen Rode is in the lead, while in the FIAT Grande Punto Youth Championship, Klemen Popit is leading among drivers under 21, who is in seventh place in the overall standings of the Punto Cup. Tina Maze will be behind the wheel of the race car

Our ski champion Tina Maze will give her love of speed a boost even during the summer, as she will be behind the wheel of a racing buggy with the help of the Austrian Red Bull. Črnjanka plans to take part in all five parallel relicross races this year, and will drive a brutal 320 buggy with a 2,2-liter turbo engine that develops around 320 horsepower. The purchase of the buggy, which is said to be worth around 15.000 euros, was partly financed out of his own pocket, and part of the money was contributed by sponsors, most notably the main sponsor, Austrian energy drink maker Red Bull, who also suggested a relic cross. “Speed makes me happy from a young age,” Maze said. “I’ve had it in my blood ever since I know for myself, and racing is my quiet passion and after a great winter season, I decided to test

The LEMA Racing team is eagerly preparing for the new racing season, and this year they are also entering the Renault Eurocup. Last week, the first training of this year took place in Imola, at the Dino and Enzo Ferrari racetrack, which was also attended by new racers Ivan Pulić and Niki Belohradski with LEMA Racing. Ivan and Niki drove the previous generation Renault Clia Cup. Ivan already had some experience with this car, as he competed with him in the Italian Cup last season, where he finished 6th overall, and this time Niki tasted it for the first time. Both new drivers of the LEMA Racing team were satisfied with the first training. The first brand new Renault Clio RS Cup will be awarded to LEMA at the end of this month, and the second in early April.
