Lotus in the US without a double nose

In free practice, the team from Enston will try to drive without a double nose, as they will put a car similar to the one Ferrari and Mercedes have. With this, Lotus is already testing for 2015, as the development of a new car is in full swing. It is not yet known which of the racers will try the new nose design, but technical director Nick Chester said the rules require everyone to have a low and long nose level: “Next season, everyone will use a long nose level as the rules are written in such a way as to require it. Allison leaves Lotus!

James Allison has resigned as technical director of the Lotus team, the team said. His place will be taken by Nick Chester, who has been an active member of the team since 2000. Where Allison is going is not yet known, although speculation about the Mercedes and Ferrari team is also unclear as to why his surprising departure came about.
