Faggioli got the first run
Italian Simone Faggioli won the first run of the mountain speed race in Buzet. With a time of 2: 11.661, he overtook second-placed Czech Miloš Beneš by almost 7 seconds, and Fausto Bormolini, the third fastest, was still 1.8 seconds slower. The best Slovenian, Marjan Smrdelj, was sixth fastest among many formulas and prototypes, and he ran a little less than 17 seconds slower than Faggioli.
