Aljoša Novak ready to hunt for victory

Rally
Aljoša Novak and Matej Čar ran out of only 2,1 seconds for the first victory in the joint classification of the Slovenian national championship in Ajdovščina. Aljoša rated the rally as a career race and announced that he would chase his first victory again at the next rally. After the accident at the inaugural rally of the Slovenian national championship in Velenje, Aljoša Novak and Matej Čar (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO9) started the Vipava Valley rally a little more carefully, but already at the third speed test they set the best time and announced the fight for the top. In the continuation, Aljoša won two more speed trials and after the eighth of ten speed trials he even took the lead in the overall ranking. The last nine kilometers in Veliki Žablje were decisive, but Aljoša slipped to the final second place and the finish line.

Rally
At the end of the week, this year's national rally championship starts in Velenje, where Aljoša Novak and his co-driver Matej Čar are among the most serious candidates for the top spot. The basic task of the season will be to finish the races, and the silent wish remains the first victory in the overall standings. This year, Aljoša Novak and Matej Čar have already had several excellent rallies on macadam in Italy, where they have already driven a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO9 from the workshop of national champion Darko Peljhan. Aljoša does not expect any major problems at the start of the national championship, when he will have to get used to the asphalt. Namely, it is more demanding to move in the opposite direction, ie from asphalt to macadam. "Last year we had a lot of luck, so I would like to finish the races this year. Last year, Matej and I started with the best time on the first speed p.

Aljoša Novak and his co-driver Matej Čar had a great start to this year's season with the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO9 in Italy. At the Ronda Valtiberina Rally, they won in their N4 class and were fifth overall fastest. Before the first performance of this season, the Slovenian crew did not have high expectations, as they set out on the macadam in Italian Tuscany mainly to grind the winter rust and prepare for future performances. But despite the difficult conditions, the Italian rallies drove excellently and after four speed trials in a total length of 56 kilometers, overtook several more powerful race cars and took the fifth place overall. In doing so, they won convincingly in their N4 class. "Behind me is one of the most beautiful, but also very demanding races," concluded Aljoša, who drove the most

Rally
At the rally in Nova Gorica, Aljoša Novak will present himself for the first time with a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX, which he will hire from the Croatian champion Juraj Šebalj. Aljoša drove only selected rallies this year with the damage of the Fabia R2, the last time he accidentally resigned in July at the first speed test of the rally for the Italian championship in San Marino. The autumn part of the season brings many novelties for Aljoša and his co-driver Matej Čar. They signed up for a short sprint rally in Nova Gorica, which is not considered the national championship of Slovenia, with a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX. They rented a top-quality car with four-wheel drive from the Croatian driver Juraj Šebalj. "We know the ordinary Lancer well, but the racing version is something completely different. We pasted the car today, I only drove about three kilometers with it.
