
Hamilton with a win in Texas to a new record
Lewis Hamilton became the most successful British racer in the history of Formula One by winning yesterday’s race in Austin, Texas. For the win, he clashed, as is customary this season, with teammate Nico Rosberg. Hamilton could not keep up with the German at first, but after a stop in the pits he started to drive faster and overtook Rosberg somewhere in the middle of the race. The former McLarn prodigy thus recorded his 32nd career win, one more than Nigel Mansll, and it was also his fifth consecutive win in his career, the longest string of his victories since a Formula One race. The Briton also increased his advantage in the overall standings of the World Cup.
