The first of two runs of the mountain speed race in Ilirska Bistrica was won by Simone Faggioli in front of Federico Luber and Slovenian Patrik Zajelšnik. Faggioli ran the course with a time of 2: 01.58 and an average speed of 148km / h, and in the finish he was 3.42 seconds faster than Liber. Zajelšnik overtook the Czech Otakar Kramsky by 0.37 seconds, and ran out of 1.36 seconds to Liber. The organizers of the mountain speed race in Lučine have published a list of registered racers, which counts as many as 81 names, which is a very nice number considering the fact that the race will not be considered the Croatian national championship. Vaclav Janik (Lola B02 / 50) and Federico Liber (Gloria C8F) are considered the favorites on the technically demanding course. The former celebrated at this year's Gorjanci, and the latter celebrated victory at last year's race in Lučine, as his car, although quite underpowered in terms of power compared to other cars, proved to be solid. Next weekend, on the traditional 4,3 km long route from Gornja Težka voda to Veliki Cerovec, the international GHD Gorjanci will take place, the second race of this year's DP of Slovenia in mountain speed motoring. According to the established program, this year there will be three official training runs on Saturday, three races on Sunday, while verifications of the documents of the performers and technical inspections of their vehicles will be performed on Friday afternoon at the Prepih restaurant, where the service zone will be. This year, in addition to the Slovenian National Championship in mountain speeding, the race will also be considered the FIA ​​Mountain Championship of Historic Vehicles, the FIA ​​European Cup in Mountain Racing, the FIA ​​International Challenge in Mountain Racing, the FIA ​​CEZ Championship of Vintage Vehicles and the Croatian National Championship in Mountain Speed.
