
No more flying starts
As we reported, from next season onwards, interruptions with the safety car will be followed by a standing and no longer flying start of the race. This was also officially confirmed this week by the sports council of the International Automobile Federation FIA. Until now, in the event of serious accidents, the pace of the race was controlled by a safety car, which the racers had to follow in a column at a significantly reduced speed, without overtaking. When the track was cleared and the danger was no more, the race continued with the flying start in the next lap, ie without the racers stopping on the track. From next season onwards, however, the race will continue with a standing start, as we see at the start of the race. The only exception is if the race is interrupted in two laps after a normal or repeated start, or less than five laps before the end. What about this sp
