Ferrari does not expect any victories this year
Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto has admitted that again this year the difference between his team's cars and Mercedes' cars will simply be too great to expect to win races, despite using a brand new powertrain. Ferrari had to adjust its powertrains last season just before the start of the season after the FIA examined their 2019 engines in detail and was not entirely happy with their performance in terms of sticking to the rules, although no obvious violations were found. The power units lost quite a bit of power, which put additional strain on the car's aerodynamics, and the worst season in Formula 1 since 1980 followed.
