The penultimate day of winter testing in Qatar, just two weeks before the first race of the season, Alex Marquez fell for the fifth time, and the fall may have ended his pre-season preparations as he broke one of the bones in his right foot. The LCR Honda racer threw himself over the engine at the high speed in the 9th turn of the Losail track, and after a nasty fall, he drove back to the garages with Iker Lecuona from the Tech3 team.
