MotoGP is testing a penalty zone in Qatar
MotoGP class racers have started the final tests on the Losail track before the start of the season, which will be on March 10 on this same track. During the test day, they will also try out a new way to serve a penalty during the race, namely that the rider who receives the penalty will have to drive through the marked area of the track outside the race line, which would cause him to lose some time. The penalty area is supposed to replace the current system of punishment during the race, according to which racers must leave one place due to offenses. The race management has designated the outside of the sixth bend for the Qatar penalty area, and after the test day is over, a meeting will be convened to determine if this new penalty system would be feasible or not.
