Lotus finished filming day at Brands Hatch

formula 1
The former UK Grand Prix venue in Brands Hatch has hosted modern Formula 1 race cars for the first time in seven years, as Lotus has organized a filming day. Romain Grosjean, Pastor Maldonado and reserve racer Jolyon Palmer showed off the ride in this year's E23 and the Lotus 72E, driven by Emerson Fittipaldi and Ronnie Peterson between 1973 and 1974. Both race cars were on the track in the afternoon, while Lotus spent most of the morning filming in different parts of the racetrack, in the pits and showing the starts. The team opened a boxing street for fans during lunch. It was the first event at Brands Hatch after Lewis Hamilton drove a demonstration ride in the 2008 DTM with an MP4-23 race car, which he drove the same year.

DTM
Audi racer Mike Rockenfeller will start the race at Brands Hatch from the best starting position after the commissioners deleted the time of Martin Tomczyk, otherwise the fastest in qualifying. His BMW was too light at the qualifying weigh-in. The German initially looked forward to the first best starting position since 2011, and his RMG team celebrated the first ever. But the commissioners said the car was not in line with regulations, so Tomczyk moved to the start of the starting line and Mike Rockenfeller advanced to the best position. Augusto Farfus in the RBM BMW will stand next to him at the start. Brands Hatch, Starting line: Racer Team / Racing car 1. Mike Rockenfeller Phoenix Audi 2. Augusto Farfus RBM BMW 3. Joey Hand RBM BMW
