Smedley in Bahrain for Williams
Rob Smedley's career with Williams begins in Bahrain this weekend. Mass's engineer transferred from Ferrari, where he worked from 2006 to 2013, together with the Brazilian to the English team. Rob only started official work at Williams on Monday, which prevented him from being sent in the first two races. Smedley will be right behind Pat Symonds at Williams, taking over from Nelson Rod, who has replaced him so far. In doing so, Nelson said: “He will be on the track and I will be in the factory and on testing. I will work mainly on the preparations, of course I will also see some races live, but only to see where the team is. We will work together a lot, but I believe we will be successful. ”Nelson admitted that in the past they had quite a few shortcomings in communication, especially with the team.
