
Magnussen punished
Kevin Magnussen was given a 10-second penalty after the race when commissioners reviewed contact between him and his teammate, Jolyon Palmer, at Sunday’s race in Barcelona. The incident happened in the thirteenth turn in the last lap, when Magnussen had relatively unused soft tires due to the three-stop strategy in the pits, while Pamer’s strategy was with only two stops. The drivers fought for thirteenth place at the end of the race. According to the commissioners, the blame was on the side of Magnussen, who dropped the city according to the table with a mark-up and thus ranked in a penny place for Felipe Nasr in Sauber.
